It’s incredible, this sense of absolute dread I feel. It’s not just that we’ve failed at every single one of our challenges from Covid to climate change it’s that the average person literally doesn’t care at all. Not even for a moment. It’s terrifying to think this is who we are

Being a sane empathic person as the world reverts back to fascism and hate by way of stupidity and indifference is unbearable man. I’d bet most of us feel like this. Just an absolute kind of dread and horror at how brain dead our societies are now

Something is going incredibly wrong with humanity at some deep and basic level. It’s like watching a horror movie unfold right about now for most empathic and thinking people I’d imagine. We’re just sleepwalking into a dark age.

There’s no sense of reality left in our societies whatsoever anymore. The average person doesn’t care about anything. We’ve failed as a civilization at all our challenges from Covid to climate change and nothing. Nothing registers.

Something has gone badly wrong with humanity’s collective psyche. These things should have registered. Covid, climate change, war. But nothing does. Something is breaking in our minds. They are numb and silent when they should be screaming with pain.

It’s deeply weird living at the end of a civilization, like alternately terrifying comical surreal and horrific

"The pandemic acted as an upwards wealth transfer. Corporations are using it as a mechanism to siphon off wealth and income from the average person, and transfer it to their bottom lines. The average person is therefore getting poorer."
